        Our Stars

Pictured clockwise from upper right: Smokey, Pumpkin, Gazoo, Dozer, Nemo!

Smokey is a Hound Mix. Smokey was just a pup when he was found inside of a brown bag in a dumpster and was turned into the local humane society. He was infested with mites, worms and had a bad case of scabies. Smokey was adopted a short time later by one of the shelter’s volunteers. He is an avid tail chaser who loves his new family including his four furry brothers and sisters.

Pumpkin is Golden Retriever and was just recently adopted by her new family. She is a very cuddly puppy! She loves her big sister – Sunny and goes to doggie daycare regularly so that she doesn’t get into mischief at home.

Gazoo was adopted from the local animal control center. He had been returned to the shelter 4 times for various reasons including hyper activity, chewing, and food bowl aggression. He and his new mom have lots of fun attending local training classes where he can burn off lots of energy. Gazoo loves his adopted mom, chasing squirrels and playing with his furry brother and sister.

Dozer is “the coolest dog you’ll ever meet” … and that’s what he’ll tell you if you meet him in person. Dozer was adopted at a young age and is no stranger to getting into mischief. He used to challenge his adoptive family regularly by finding new and creative things to chew (now you know why he’s in the video). He loves to play with his housemates, chase lizards and play soccer with his dad.

Nemo was found as a puppy in a sewer and rescued by the fire dept and animal control. He created quite a media frenzy during his rescue and was labeled wild & aggressive. Luckily animal control was able to find an appropriate home for him. Nemo was adopted by a family willing to give the time and patience that a dog like Nemo needs. He loves sleeping on the couch, going for walks at the park and digging in his sand pit as often as he can.
